How do you source your ingredients?

Our spices are supplied and sourced from reputable suppliers who meet all the required auditing standards required by FSA.

Fresh ingredients are sourced from local farmers and markets, inevitably not all the required ingredients are available locally due to seasons and must be sourced further afield.

Do you have list of allergens and nutritional information?

Both allergens and nutritional information are easily accessible on our website. All the required information is listed under each recipe section.

How can I gift a Dawat Recipe Meal Kit?

Simply select the desired meal kit and the date of delivery from our listed meal kits, at checkout please ensure that you add the delivery address for the recipient of our delicious Dawat meal kit. Remember to share with them the video link on how to cook the selected meal kit – this will be emailed to you once you have placed your order.

Alternatively, you can also purchase a gift card. This is listed on our products page, simply select the desired denomination, and complete the checkout process. You will then receive an email with the gift card details to pass onto your loved ones.

Why do yo need to create an account?

By signing up to an account you will have access to our exclusive video recipes for the recipes that you purchase - these can only be accessed and viewed via a user account. Along with this you will be able to to take advantage of order history as well as pre-filled forms during checkout on subsequent orders.

Do you offer vegetarian/vegan recipes?

Dawat will be offering a selection of tasty vegetarian and vegan recipes in the near future. Look out for the callouts on each recipe.

How long will your ingredients stay fresh?

Poultry and meat items will stay fresh at least 3 days after the delivery.

Fresh ingredients such as herbs have a limited shelf life and need to be consumed as early as possible for optimum taste.

Dry spices have a much longer shelf life, if stored correctly in a cool place.

If you are unable to cook and use this recipe due to unforeseen circumstances, you can freeze your meat/poultry/fish for up to three months.

Do you offer any savouries or sweets with the recipe box?

With each recipe we plan to provide a savoury as a starter and also traditional dessert. We are also busy working on an exciting choice of savoury starters and sweet options that will be available with our recipe boxes in the near future.

My recipe card is missing?

We are sincerely sorry for that you are missing a recipe card. All our recipe cards are available to download a printable PDF file via your online account.

Is your meat and poultry halal?

All our meat and poultry are sourced from certified halal butchers who are HMC certified. We also conduct our own stringent checks to ensure that our supply partners undergo regular animal welfare audits. We only accept products from suppliers that hold certification from the leading auditing standards.

Where can I find the step-by step guide and the online video for my recipe?

You can access the video and cook along with our chef one of two ways:

1. Login into your Dawat account. After loging in, you will be directed to the main account page. Listed in a table will be all the recipes you have purchased, in the recipe video column click on the recipe required, this will take you the step-by-step page where full instructions and videos are provdied.

2. With your mobile phone scan the QR code on the recipe card sent with your Dawat box. This will direct you to your account page. Login and the required recipe will be listed under the recipe video column.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

With our delivery partners APC we deliver nationwide across the UK mainland.

We are currently unable to deliver to: Scottish Highlands, Islands & Northern Ireland.

Can I cancel or change a delivery after the deadline has passed?

We do accept cancellation for a recipe box up until the deadline for ordering the recipe box. Once our deadline has passed for the selected recipe box, we are unable to accept cancellations.

This deadline is in place so we can source and order fresh produce for our recipes and avoid food waste.

If you are unable to use the recipe box, we would encourage you to share it with a family or a friend.

All our meat / poultry / fish can be frozen up to three months. The fresh items will need be consumed within 2 to 3 days for optimum taste.

The date of delivery for each recipe box is planned in advance, we are therefore unable to change delivery dates.

My recipe box hasn't been delivered as expected

Our courier will provide you with the most accurate delivery time slot via email or SMS.

Please contact us via our online chat / email if your delivery time has passed and the recipe box has not been delivered.

When will my box be delivered?

We plan to deliver your recipe box on the date you have selected. However, our couriers will provide you with the most accurate information, they will email you or send a SMS on the actual delivery day.

Unfortunately I am not going to be home when the delivery will be made

In conjunction with our courier, we operate a “leave safe” policy. The courier will follow instructions that you have provided just in case you are not at home.

Rest assured, all our boxes with the ingredients are insulated and contain ice packs – this will mean your ingredients will remain fresh for up to 48 hours. We do recommend that you place all chilled items in the fridge once you get home.

Please make sure that your “leave safe” place is accessible and clear from any obstructions.

The delivery driver may use discretion to leave your box in a place they consider safe if they are unable to access your leave safe option or feel it is insecure.

Issues With Order

My recipe box has arrived damaged

First and foremost, we are very sorry this has occurred. We take great pride in packing and ensuring the
recipes box arrives to you as it was dispatched. Our courier partners are aware of the delicate content in each recipe box.

We would really appreciate if you could provide images of the damage and email this to info@dawatfood.co.uk

We also ask you to report the damage to us via our online chat.

In the meantime, please check that all the listed items are in the recipe box, otherwise please contact us using our online chat to report any missing items.

I have ingredient(s) missing from my recipe box!

Please carefully double check the items against your recipe card list. If an ingredient is still missing or packed incorrectly, please contact us at info@dawatfood.co.uk  and we’ll get this corrected.

I am not satisfied with the quality of ingredient(s)

We pride ourselves on our extremely high-quality standards so we’re very sorry that an ingredient(s) has not met
your expectations.

Please note that our meat / poultry is sealed, this may cause it to have a smell, we suggest that you allow this to rest opened for a few minutes to alleviate this issue. 

We are more than happy to chat and discuss your concern if you are still not satisfied with any of our ingredients. Please take some photos where required and email to info@dawatfood.co.uk so we can investigate this for you.

What should I do – My recipe box appears to have been opened / tampered?

We are sincerely sorry this has happened. We are unable to guarantee if the ingredients are safe to use.

We therefore recommend that you take photos and email these to info@dawatfood.co.uk you also need to contact us
urgently via our online chat. Our customer support team will be available to assist you with this issue.
